Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How long of a lease term can we go for?
For as short or long as you wish although the most common and cost effective are usually 3 or 5 years
Q. Can we add or change equipment during the lease term?
Of course. You are free to upgrade or add equipment at any point. For example, you may have initially invested in a few network printers at the start of your printer lease agreement but as time has gone on you have expanded, now you need some wireless printers due to your current machines being overused. This is perfectly fine.
Q. Does the service agreement cover toner?
Yes our standard service agreement covers all toner, parts, labour etc. In fact the only thing you need to worry about is the paper! Keep in mind that our printer leasing services can be tailored to your company’s needs.
Q. Will I have to purchase the copier outright?
No, the decision is yours. You can choose to buy a photocopier or lease it, depending on your personal preference.
Q. What is Duplex?
A feature that enables both sides of the sheet to be printed on. If this is something you require, remember to buy a printer that has duplex as a listed feature.
Q. What is Bypass tray?
A side tray on most machines. This allows the loading of heavier paper or card stock than the cassettes. It’s great to have a bypass tray on a printer for office work as it’s also designed as a quick access tray to save opening the main cassettes.
Q. Will I be able to use the photocopier as a printer and a scanner?
Yes, regardless of whether you buy one of our colour photocopiers or a photocopier for office work, all of our machines are multifunctional. A fax unit can also be added.
Q. How long will we have to wait for our equipment to be delivered?
New Machines: With a new machine we would usually ask a customer to allow 5 working days for order to be placed and subsequently received into our warehouse for setting up and onward transmission. Showroom Machines: With a showroom machine this could be a lot quicker, as your machine is already in stock ready for dispatch. However if the refurbished machine needs to be configured and prepared to your specific requirements then this could therefore take little longer.
Q. I have a small office printer and want to buy a new one. What’s the best printer for me?
We have a range of business printers which will suit your needs. If you plan to print on a regular basis, check the monthly duty cycle as this will tell you the maximum amount of prints recommended for that particular printer.
Q. Is leasing printers for my small business the best option for me?
It depends on the amount of disposable cash your business has to spend. But, if you lease printers your cash flow will not take as much of a knock as it would if you were to buy all the printers out-right. That is a major factor to consider for your small business.
Q. How much does it cost to lease a printer?
Our printer leasing prices vary depending on a range of factors, for instance the number of machines, the lease period and whether additional services such as remote diagnostics or a managed print service are required. Our prices are very competitive especially on our Konica Minolta business solutions, so it’s best to get in touch with one of our account managers and talk to us about your business so we can advise the perfect solution for you.
Q. What’s the best small printer available?
With regards to our best small office printers, we have a range of desktop printers including the Konica Minolta Bizhub C3100p and the Konica Minolta Bizhub C4700p, both of which are suitable for a small office environment.
